Saving fish from Meadows Farm private pond

A few months ago the Orange County Anglers honeywhole was washed away by a masive flood. Today April 19th the anglers, with club sponser Becky Gore, set out to rescue the dying fish they once competed for in many tournaments. Hundreds of fish were trapped in a pocket of water 2 feet deep left in the pond. The anglers were able to save many fish species such as bass, carp, crappie, brim, perch, catfish, and coy. Some of the carp weighed in over 50 pounds. A seven pound bass was also saved along with numerous citation crappie and 10-15 pound catfish. Large bright orange coy were also saved. The anglers hustled to transfer fish from the mudwhole to large tubs of clean ariated water. Thanks to the dedicated anglers of Orange County for their love of the sport and the fish.
